Bank Closures

Ross has taken a stand against the closures and reduced hours of the local TSB branches in Aberdeen South.

Ross said:

“I am extremely disappointed to hear that TSB has taken the decision to close its Holburn Street branch and cut opening hours at several others in the north-east. Many customers – including small businesses – still rely on that face-to-face service that a bricks and mortar branch provides. Moves to reduce opening hours could be the thin end of the wedge and lead to further closures. I am very concerned for people who may have difficulty accessing alternative banking arrangements, particularly those in more rural areas. This announcement is hugely regrettable and I will be raising the matter with UK ministers at the earliest opportunity."
