Local Event - Green Family Fun Day

The Aberdeen City Council Environmental Services Team are hosting a day of green family fun at Hazlehead Park. Come along and have a go at riding a penny farthing bike or find out about the latest electric or hydrogen powered vehicles.

Events Management students from Robert Gordon University are organising a blooming good day out in Aberdeen to raise cash for the terminal illness charity Marie Curie.

Local Event - Who Let the Dads Out

This is a free event for all Dads and school aged children. Bacon Rolls, Tea and coffee for Dads, Bouncy castle, games, toys, crafts and a snack for the kids.

Local Event - Deeside Line Tidy Up

The Deeside Line, from Duthie Park to the Western boundary of the city, is the longest site. Join the Countryside Rangers to help keep the Line clear of overhanging and obstructive trees and shrubs, by coming on the event from either Duthie Park.

Due to the recent cold weather, ‘Cold Weather Payments’ have been triggered in parts of Aberdeen South. Payments are made automatically to those that are entitled to them.

Minister Claire Perry Visits Aberdeen

Claire Perry Minister of State for Energy & Clean Growth visited Aberdeen after chosing it as her first ministerial visit earlier this year. 

Ross Welcomes New Air Ambulance

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) has announced that a new life-saving aircraft will be stationed in the city, and is now in the process of raising £6 million to ensure it can take to the skies within a year.
