Ross handed in the Loan Charge petition to the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and the Chancellor, Sajid Javid. The petition gathered 8,294 signatures calling for a review of the 2019 Loan Charge and for it to be suspended.
On Wednesday, 19 June, more than a hundred guide dog owners from across the country converged on Westminster Hall in Parliament to share their experiences of being turned away by businesses because of their dog.
Ross joined The Dogs Trust and fellow MPs to hand in a petition which has been signed by over 11,000 people to call the Government to act to end puppy smuggling with tighter controls and tougher penalties to deter such a crime.
Today Ross joined protesters impacted by the 2019 Loan Charge outside Parliament. Ross said, "There was a huge turnout of people and I heard awful stories of bankruptcy, broken families and suicide. This unfair charge is destroying lives & must be stopped before it’s too late."
