I have no doubt that the Named Person element of the Children and Young People (Scotland) 2014 Act was designed with the best of intentions.

Ross Thomson MSP said: "It is clear that the are major issues nationally with the Named Person legislation. The public has lost confidence in this policy, while health visitors who will be at the front line have voiced serious concerns about the increase in workload.

Comment on Scots replacing English in the Classroom
